ADB setup for Windows

1.Download latest adb.exe. The link is as follow:
https://androidstudio.io/downloads/tools/download-the-latest-version-of-adb.exe.html

2. Extract the zip file.

3. Append the user environment variable- PATH
Start Control Panel system and security system Advance system settings Environment variables User Variables
Double click on PATH

For windows 10
(Please ensure before you click “Browse” that no field is highlighted. If a field is highlighted you will end up replacing it. Click somewhere in the list that doesn’t contain an entry to ensure that you do not replace a field.)

Select Browse.
Browse to the location where adb folder is extracted.

For windows 7/8

At the end of given path address put “;” and then add the address to adb folder manually.

4. Append system variable – PATH
Double click on PATH

For windows 10

Select Browse.
Browse to the location where adb folder was extracted.

For windows 7/8

5. Click OK till exit from Advance system settings.

6. Restart PC.

7. To run adb.

Connect device. (make sure usb debugging is on).

Type following commands:

adb devices
adb shell
